JEAN READ Education Resourcing operates rigorous quality control in all aspects of recruitment, vetting and registration. We ensure that whatever their background, all our supply staff more than match the exacting regulatory standards set by the DfE. These procedures will enable schools to comply with all of their legal obligations for Safer Recruitment in Education and offers complete peace of mind when booking staff through JEAN READ Education Resourcing. Our vetting checks/registration process includes:
- List 99
- In-depth face-to-face interview
- Disclosure and Barring Service checks (criminal record and barred list checks)
- Identity checks
- Critical assessment of two most recent professional references
- Qualifications check/Work history check**
- DfE ITR check
- Permission to work in the UK check
- Overseas Police check
Our email vetting confirmations satisfy all aspects of the DfE/OFSTED guidelines and can be used as the single, central record.
The vetting and monitoring of a candidate is on-going until the candidate leaves the active register. We feel it is important to check and monitor candidates to ensure schools are getting the best possible service.
Incidents and complaints are rare; but you can rest assured that if they do arise we have a procedure to deal with them swiftly and professionally.
** All documents are photocopied and signed by the consultant as 'originals sighted'. These are kept in the teacher's personal file. Any candidate who presents false documentation is referred to the Teacher Misconduct Division at the DfE
